Data Deletion
حذف اطلاعات کاربر
This page explains how to ask Partaw (Mohr-e Asil / مهر اصیل) to delete data we hold about you, what we can remove, and what we are required to retain. It accompanies our Privacy Policy.
Last updated: 17 June 2026
01 Overview
Partaw is a teleradiology overread service. When a clinic sends us a radiograph over WhatsApp or our portal, we hold the sender’s phone number, the patient details supplied with the study (such as a patient reference, age, sex, and clinical question), the image and the medical imaging derived from it, the radiologist’s signed report, and an append-only audit log of the study’s lifecycle. You can ask us to delete this data, subject to the medical-records limits described below.
Partaw delivers a medical service, so some records (in particular the signed report and the audit log) must be retained for the period required by medical-records law before they can be deleted. We delete what we are permitted to delete promptly, and delete the rest once the mandatory retention period ends.
02 How to request deletion
Send an email to privacy@partaw.com with the subject “Data deletion request”, and include:
- The WhatsApp phone number used to send the study (in full international format).
- The name of the clinic or organization, and your role there.
- Any details that help us find the records — for example the patient reference, accession, or approximate date(s) the study was sent.
- Whether you want all matching data deleted, or only specific studies.
You may also send the same request to us directly within your WhatsApp conversation with our business number; email is preferred because it lets us verify the request.
03 What we delete and what we retain
| Data | What happens on a valid request |
|---|---|
| Sender contact data (WhatsApp number mapping) not under a retention obligation | Deleted promptly |
| Raw and normalized images, AI processing outputs, heatmaps, and search embeddings | Deleted promptly where not required for an active or legally retained record |
| Signed radiology reports and the patient information bound to them | Retained for the legally required medical-records period, then deleted |
| Append-only audit log entries | Retained for clinical accountability for the required period, then deleted |
The signed report and audit log are kept because medical-records and healthcare regulations, and our agreement with the originating clinic, require it — they protect both the patient and the accountability of the radiologist who signed the report. Once the mandatory retention period expires, these records are deleted as well.
04 Verifying your request
Because this is medical data, we verify that the person making the request is authorized — normally the clinic that submitted the study, or the patient acting through that clinic. We may ask for additional information to confirm your identity and authority before we act, so that we do not delete records at the request of someone who is not entitled to.
05 Timeline
- We aim to acknowledge your request within 7 days.
- We aim to complete eligible deletions within 30 days of verifying your request. Where data is under a mandatory retention period, we will tell you and delete it once that period ends.
06 If you are a patient
Your study reached us through the clinic that ordered it, and that clinic is responsible for your information. If you are a patient who wants your data deleted, please contact the clinic that sent your study; they can submit a deletion request to us on your behalf. You may also email us at privacy@partaw.com and we will coordinate with the clinic.
07 Deleting WhatsApp does not delete your data here
Blocking our number, deleting the chat, or removing the WhatsApp app only affects your own device and the WhatsApp network. It does not delete the study data Partaw already holds. To have that data deleted, use the request process above.
08 Contact
